So this is my return to blogging which, really isn't something I ever really did to begin with. I tried it in '06, and grew bored very quickly. At this point, I feel there is more to talk about. Like Hipster Runoff.
He talks about meme's, blipsters, blog house and the occasional remix failure. you can't go any where on the site without seeing at least 2 American Apparel ads yet... you want to root for him. But like, in a sort of 'we're all gonna die' kind of way. Never the less, HRO proclaims itself to be a 'blog worth blogging about' and well... It's only natural some random fool like me is going to wonder... Is he for real??
I first read this dude's blog last year when working in tech support for fedex. It soon became something to pass the time when things were slow and subsequently, became my favorite blog. Does it matter that I only read a handful of other blogs? I mean who has time to read when your trolling music blogs to rabidly sink your teeth in to the newest miracle fix-all dance tonic. You know, the mp3's you snag and stuff in your party rocking collection only to listen to later and somehow loathe because it ends up being terrible. Moving on. Recently HRO blogged about a fight at Cinespace between the bouncers and Ed Banger Recs. Can't exactly explain why, but I thought it was fucking hilarious. The combination of 'social relevance' and 'witty commentary' coupled with the reliable, 'whatever' attitude of a quasi-hipster in question of his own relevance, is somehow entirely too entertaining.
Now, I'm not professing to be the next big thing or write blogs about calling someone out for being wack/dope. I just want to talk about the stuff I love/dislike to keep the creative juices flowing and maybe discover some awesome recipe like my homie David Soto and his Home Made Pho Excursion. Beyond that, I'd like to put you up on some stuff like my favorite rappers favorite rapper and of course my current flavorite blawg haus commentary innovator, Hipster Runoff. Until next time I'll leave you with a question: Does liking Crystal Castles automatically make you a hipster? More on that later.
